Windows Vista Launch today!

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

I’ve been using Windows Vista for a month or so now and I must say, its pretty sweet.  They’ve done a fantastic job at making a really slick operating system.  But I also have a mac and mac users won’t be blown away with alot of the features.  But in general the user interface is beautiful. Lots of color, lots of nice icons.  BUUUT…the popups are incredible.  You’ll get more security warnings than you really need.  I’m still trying to figure out how to turn them all off.  It gets really bad sometimes.  I’ve had instances where a super warning pops up that darkens the screen, crashes the app setting off the warning, then locks the whole screen in darkness.  Maybe this is a new dark screen of death?  Replacing the nice little blue screen of death we’ve grown to love?  Who knows, but kudos in general to Microsoft and all their good work!!
