NSFC (Not Safe For Creationists)
Alright this is really wicked, found this great article about how we’re closer to evolving from Dinosaurs than we thought. They even have a picture at the bottom of the article of the pre-monkey looking mammal that looks much more reptilian lizard like. TOTALLY TOTALLY crazy. This will POSITIVELY freak out any christian, creationist, God fearing monkey out there. Check it…
Look at that tail man!!!! FRRRREICKY!!!

I’m probably what you would consider a creationist. I’m most certainly a Christian. The problem with folks who implicitly accept the Genesis account of Creation as Science is that they ARE wrong. God never intended for us to accept the Creation story as His scientific explanation of the process, just simply that He was responsible for it. There is no Science in the Bible, just as there should be no Religion in Science. Both camps are failing in that area more often lately. The faithful are attempting to use Science to validate their faith and scientists are attempting to to debunk religion and make science a religion in itself.
Neither are doing their cases justice, as the conflict only serves to portray them as petty, self-serving and unwaivering in the face of incontrovertible proof. Science will never prove the Bible wrong because if one reads the Bible, there is nothing scientific about it. (”God created the thing in the certain period of time after the other thing,” is all it says. It does not say that God “created the heavens by clapping two dark matter particles together and setting forth a chain reaction to blah blah blah”. Man-kind would have not understood and explaining existence is not the purpose of the Bible at any rate.)
I could go on for quite a while, but the gist is that each “side” is too emotional and sees the other side as an opponent or as an attack on them personally. Everyone on both sides needs to just sit back, relax and learn. The more we learn, the more we’ll realize how right the OTHER person can be, no matter your perspective.
