Awesome WPF example!!!

Friday, February 9th, 2007

This WPF Snowboarding Application was developed primarily using Expression Blend to create a unique experience around Snowboarding. By utilizing GPS devices, data is recorded capturing all the details of a day on the mountain. This data can then be analyzed, and visualized for play back, showing statistics such as speed and vertical decent, along with a 3D Snowboarder that can respond to the data in real-time.

Note, Windows Vista or Windows XP SP2 w/ .net 3.0 installed is required to run this application.

NSFC (Not Safe For Creationists)

Alright this is really wicked, found this great article about how we’re closer to evolving from Dinosaurs than we thought. They even have a picture at the bottom of the article of the pre-monkey looking mammal that looks much more reptilian lizard like. TOTALLY TOTALLY crazy. This will POSITIVELY freak out any christian, creationist, God fearing monkey out there. Check it…

Oldie but goodie

Alright I found what I want for Christmas

Wednesday, February 7th, 2007

So check this, I came across this site called Phidgets. And what they sell are these little toys you plug into your computer through usb and can interface with using alot of common programming languages. So I was like niiice, until I saw some examples and I was like niiiiiiiiiiiice. Like this one. This guy took a tablet PC with wifi, strapped it on to a remote control truck, setup a web cam on the front of it and activated Adobe Flash’s web cam api so he could capture that web cam data over at his computer in the office. Next he can control the car from his desk using flash communication server back to the flash movie playing on the car and the flash movie tells the car where to go using the Phidget motor controller and Actionscript.

And there are all kinds of cool projects people have been working on. Like they have and RFID kit that includes a sensor and a key chain. And this one project has a guy who has built software that allows you to scan your rfid key chain over the rfid scanner on the computer when you visit a password protected website or want to turn your computer back on from sleep. GENIUS!!
