I am sooooo not suprised that CompUSA is going down the tubes. Absolutely not.  Here is a company that is a niche player in the computer store market, a practical monopoly and it STILL can’t produce the numbers.  Why?  Overly Aggressive Extended Warranties.  The last time I remember purchasing something at CompUSA was some piece of slightly expensive hardware and the guy selling it to me WOULD NOT LEAVE ME ALONE AND WOULD NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER until I left the cash register and walked out the door.  I practically flipped out on the poor kid.  But this kid, pushing their extended warranty was exactly where CompUSA failed.  They all get extra dough for these extended warranties and CompUSA went from a computer retailer to an insurance salesman.  Not good, not suprised.
